Can you believe it’s already May? We may be getting ready for the summer season, but there’s still time for you to head over to Catalina Island for spring fun and relaxation. Springtime usually brings us great weather and smaller crowds, a great combination to truly enjoy Catalina.
Towards the end of May, the Island will be popping with energy. The 8th Annual Taste of Avalon is May 31 and kicks off one of our most popular weekend festivals, the Flying Fish Festival (http://www.catalinachamber.com/FlyingFish/). This year, the festival has something new and exciting – bubble rollers! Young and old alike will definitely find this unique and fun activity very entertaining. Of course, there are many other great activities for family fun.
Beginning in late May, Catalina Island will be filled with music for everyone to enjoy. The 2012 Catalina Summer Concert series begins May 27 and runs through September 2. These free and family-friendly concerts on Wrigley Stage begin at 7:30 pm. Gather around the stage with local residents and visitors alike and listen to various genres of music while looking out over Avalon Harbor. Take a look at what’s in store.
