The Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary May 31 through June 2 at Lake Skinner Recreation Area off Warren Road in Winchester.
The weekend’s activities include wine and food pairings, wine tastings, beer tastings, live entertainment and a multitude of food and retail vendors.
The event also presents a kids fair with petting zoo, inflatable jump houses and rides.
Ticket prices range from $15 per person for a Sunday ticket to $50 for the full weekend. VIP tickets also are available. Campsites also are available on site.
The festival showcases more than 20 Temecula Valley Wine Country wineries, and local beer brewers. More than 40 hot air balloon will participate in a Friday night “balloon glow.”
Entertainment includes performances by “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery on Friday. The Saturday night concert will feature a surprise rock music performer not yet been announced.
A Barrel Race, which features derby carts made from wine barrels, will be held at 2 p.m. April 27 at The Promenade in Temecula.
Last year’s festival brought 37,000 people to the area over the weekend.
